A break from climate in the form of some sketches of life lately.
Love this phrase from Dr. Lisa Genova, as well as the great podcast from whence it came.

Are you a medical practitioner interested in bringing climate into your work? I’m hosting a webinar with the incredible Dr. Gaurab Basu this Thursday. More here.
“Wellbeing is about capacity.” Enjoyed this interview!
Reading Cal Newport’s Slow Productivity and enjoying it…slowly: Eat food, mostly plants, not too much. Do fewer things, work at a natural place, obsess over quality.

Take it seriously, hold it lightly. Elizabeth Gilbert writes about it in Big Magic, too.
Wonderful tension. The "Yes, and...." of the art world - and life, as you point out.
I fear I was a little too serious this afternoon. After errands we stopped at a library branch near us for Bingo. My son [who has Down syndrome] is a Bingo fan, tho I had to recite the numbers over 9 like this; 59, five nine. He won and was so pleased. I did not play. Librarian handed me a card, had me pick out one of those marker thingies and said the card was disposable. What? Of course the world won't end if we throw away a few coated paper bingo cards with marker smudges on them... but how do people ignore some easy ways to stop polluting our environment [in this case the soil and perhaps water too]? Bingo with buttons anyone?
I've been trying to find a way to buy mushrooms that don't have plastic film over the top of the container.. People frustrate me!
